Make it even cooler if you were to tell me it was CorkFather, Dneyed, and krewe. Since they are HC grads but was living in Gentilly during the famous home invasion.

Dude, it's on Paris Avenue.
OK, the grammar school is on Elysian Fields by Transfiguration (old St. Raphael.)

Bittersweet for me. As an alum, I miss the old campus and really wish they could have found a way to stay.

However, I'm really happy that of all the places they could have went, they came to Gentilly. It's really helping revitalize two parts of the neighborhood that needed some help.

yeah I didn't specify, sorry for the ambiguity. My buddy recently built a house on Soldier and Cartier just a few blocks from the HS.... pretty close to BM as a crow flies

Have you been down to old campus lately? Wondering if its still abandoned or if something has been done with the property.

Quick story - the legendary wooden gazebo that is part of the school logo even was still at the old campus after Katrina. The city bought the property (I think, or they got it somehow) and they wouldn't let HC enter the locked fence to move the gazebo to the new campus. They said it no longer belonged to HC. Magically the gazebo appeared at the new campus in the middle of the night, a few baws got the job done it seems...

A certain ex-baseball coach may or may not have moved it in the middle of the night.

How many of the buildings were they occupying? Were the grounds maintained or overgrown? Its been several years since I went down there but it was a debacle last I saw. Found myself a bit sad tbh.

The grounds were half-assed maintained. They were using the temporary trailers HC used on the old campus post-Katrina. They weren't using the actual buildings.

Gotcha. I imagine the buildings are in scary bad condition.

Here's a pic of the trailer set up in the parking lot.

WTF? Wasn't there some big, completely out-of-scale housing development going up on that space?

I'm with you, really sad seeing it in that condition.
