How many LSU baseball players actually have a full ride?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it more common for baseball players to get a partial scholarship than a full one?
I'm in a discussion with someone about this and he says that almost all the players are on a full scholarship. I didn't agree with him,

More than likely none of them... You have 11.7 to give out to 27 players.

I figured it was very few if any at all.

I saw that Davidson had less than 3 scholarships for their baseball team. That means most of those kids are only getting a few hundred bucks discount at the checkout line. Now, the school probably makes sure their financial aid packet gets priority but still..

NCAA rules only allow for a max of 11.7 scholarships for baseball. That's it. Your friend is completely wrong. It's unlikely that any of them have a full scholarship.

College baseball gets the shaft for sure when it comes to scholarships.
11.7 scholarships...what a-hole came up with that number? At least round it to the next number.

None... baseball doesn't give full scholarships. Been like that forever b/c they refuse to allow them to have more.
Most of those guys prolly have academic or some other types of aid. I know when I played my academic scholarship paid for the rest of school and baseball paid for I think maybe books, a little tuition and a meal plan. Oh and don't let me forget! They bent over backwards and waived out of state tuition!
Coaches like guys who can qualify for academic scholarships... allows them to give more money to other players. In my case, better ones

Football shouldn't count. Women don't have a sport that requires that many scholarships

I don't know what year they came up with that but it is long overdue to change! College baseball has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 20 years especially in the SEC.

Yes, you're right. It's been time to give them more scholarships. College baseball is a good product and more often than not the players are decent students and go on to be valuable members of society. That's how I see things, at least.

That's how most see things. And college baseball would be even better than it is now, IMO, if they would grant more and full scholarships. You could convince more of those HS guys that are on the fence about going to the minors or college if they didn't have to pay anything to go to college.

Yep. I'm not sure why the NCAA can't see that. I know people say "it's not a money maker", but to make money you have to spend it.
