It wasn't a perfect throw though. It was a good throw, but a little to the right. Anybody even the slightest bit faster would have scored there. The 100% correct call was to pinch run for Beau after the single

You know what I love about comments like this? 95% of the people on here can't run as fast as him. Y'all think he is slow. He may not be as fast as Breaux or Duplantis or Watson, but I can assure you he isn't "slow".
That's a freaking relative term.

As soon as Jordan got on I assumed it was just automatic that he'd get run for. But then I thought-- by who? I have seen literally hundreds of posts saying we have to pinch run there--and like I said, on its face, I agree--but no one has suggested who should have run for him. I literally have seen zero names. Are Coomes or Reid any faster? Romero? A pitcher? Who'm I forgetting?

And on the tag, we just got screwed by where it was hit. As soon as it left the bat, I told my dad "shite, he's got to go, but he's gonna be out."

In that situation down by 1 so late in the game with their guy dealing and the back end of their bullpen, there was no other choice but to
send him. Even though I was pretty positive he was gonna get hosed at the plate, it's still a better percentage than relying on the next guy to get a hit. It was just hit in no man's land. Not Paul's. Beau's, or Cain's fault.

Let me ask you this? How do you feel when Beau steps up to the plate? Do you feel confident that he will get a hit? Lately I have had the feeling that he will somehow give LSU another out when he steps up. Call me an idiot or a negatiger or whatever else but I just expect more (maybe unrealistically) from a DH. Bash away.
