When I used to play the question was resolved by a vote of the table before the first hand. Come from the top or not?

Sampson:

I defy you to submit a scenario that supports your premise !

Also as one poster mentioned to you earlier, I would love to play a few hands with you for any amount that you can count!

most of the time you're better off going ace

the question was do you HAVE to lead boss ace after winning 2 tricks. my first answer was no you don't HAVE to but you might as well bc thats game in hand. BUT you dont have to. why? bc what if you can use your remaining offsuit high cards to bourre the bastard when you have highs and you know he has lows? what if you win an extra $20 bc you just tossed your bull club to his deuce club? the rules of this game say play to win and win fast but that doesn't mean the rules were laid down to shakes out logically if you're playing for money.

There's no way for you to know what he has, which is why you play the Ace to get rid of another round of trump and keep lead.

Say the trump is diamonds and you have the Ace of diamonds, clubs, and spades left. The guy you are hoping to bourre has the deuce of diamonds, hearts, and spades. If you played the Ace of clubs and everyone else in the hand has a club, you fricked yourself out of a bourre.

Plus playing the Ace will draw out other trump cards.

Say one player is holding the king only, he will be screwed.

This is the name of the game.
