I'm seeing rumors of an insane ultimatum the Saudis gave to the Qataris too. I haven't seen any Western outlet publish them though so I'm skeptical.
I do think there is a chance that things dovetail very quickly into full-scale war.

Probably not true, those demands are ridiculous! If it is true, they must be trynna pull a trump and go wayyyy over the top thinking it will distort the matrix of possible outcomes or something.

Asking Qatar to cut ties with Iran and not asking the UAE, which is Iran's biggest trading partner doesn't make any sense.
