Everyone likes to bitch about the Warriors forming a super team, but this whole thing started with LeBron in Miami.
He's been forming super teams in the East for the better part of a decade now and every year the East is represented in the Finals by a LeBron super team. So someone in the West finally decided to do the same shite and suddenly their at fault?
7 straight finals for Lebron coming out of the east, but it was the Warriors that made this boring.
Yes, the warriors will likely dominate the NBA for a few years until an injury or contracts catch up to them, but what really needs to happen is a decline in Lebron so that someone else from the east can decide they want to build a team.

but this whole thing started with LeBron in Miami.
Russell won 11 titles on a team that hoarded Hall of Famers.
It continued on and in the 80s, 2 teams completely dominated. In the 90s, 1 team completely dominated.
The idea that it started in 2010 is LOL funny.

You must've forgotten those years when Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury were considered star players. That was bad.

No clue how anyone can think today's brand is worse than that abomination.
Not to mention, the Lakers won 3 straight in that time with a 15-1 playoff record in 1 postseason. Maybe it was the internet/social media age wasn't like it is today, but I don't recall people complaining about super teams then.

remember the post MJ NBA, you'd never say the NBA is as bad as it's ever been.
Easily the worst level of talent in my NBA lifetime. MJ left such a huge black hole, took the league years to get back

Yup. And SA went 15-2 in 1999.
People just like to bitch.

So yes. I have.
So what is the difference? You have one or two teams that can compete now and everyone else has no chance. That is basically the history of basketball.

So is there NO ONE else out there that is kinda tired of seeing Lebron every damn year???
Wouldnt it be a great story if he got upset in the 2nd round of the playoffs????
I cant be the only one??

The NBA, as well as all leagues, are entertainment for most people.
These playoffs have simply not been that entertaining. It's like watching a movie when you already know everything that's going to happen.
It's like Hangover 2. You know the whole plot. Sure, you'll laugh at a few one-liners, but it doesn't make up for the lack of suspense and knowing what's going to happen.

I'm not talking about the concept of a super team. I'm not arguing what everyone else on this board has been arguing about.
I'm talking about everyone bitching about how the CURRENT landscape of the NBA is boring/broken and how that is the Warriors fault despite Lebron dominating the east for 7 straight years while until this year, the West has been relatively competitive.

So those teams were formed by top tier players getting together and deciding which team to go play for as a unit? That was wel before my time so maybe they did but I've never heard that story. Lebron has been damn near completely picking his team for years. Picked his coach. LBJ is the most physically talented athlete probably ever considering his size, speed, versatility but to pretend as though he has had a rough road in the NBA is a joke.

100% correct.

Given the rest of the teams in the East, LeBron getting to the Finals is the only way t have any hope of a competitive series. I can't see any East team of the last few seasons putting up any fight against the Spurs/Warriors of the last 5 Finals.
That's the only reason I'd say no, just for the hope of an epic Finals, which we've had 2 in recent years.

I like watching a couple teams to see most of the top players. I also hate the city of Cleveland so this is great. More exciting post season doesn't mean a better league either. Last comment wasn't directed at you just response to what's i think is an apples/oranges argument around here.

IMO..
If you love the game of basketball, you have to enjoy watching the warriors. They are so unselfish and play extremely hard on defense.

Absolutely. Iggy has been my guy for a long time. I almost hate that he's on GS bc it makes me look like a bandwagon but it's the perfect situation for him. But the rest of the team is ok to watch too.

I agree, but it isn't outlandish to want them pushed. Making a long three after two extra passes is nice, but making a long three after two extra passes to go up by 1 in the 4th quarter is more enjoyable than the 3 that puts you up 25.
