Chris Blair is a pure pro. He's as good as they get.

No one is going to get a 100% approval rating as voice of the Tigers. Lots of people didn't like Hawthorne. Lots did. We are very hard to please fans.

Blair is doing a fine job, but I wish he would knock off the growling.

I like him a lot but he needs to realize that his job is to be eyes and ears of listeners and make the call as it happens.

He does a good job. He has a good voice. I just don't know if I can get used to someone other than Jim

That would be sand in your schlitz.

I don't like Chris Blair at all. He comes across as forced and fake enthusiasm. I can't listen to him. Some seem to like him but I prefer someone with a little more LSU background.

Well said, Scoob.
Maybe the anti-radio poster doesn't have a car or job?

I've always liked Hanagriff for the job. His deadpan style is great on radio, because it allows him to reserve some emotion for when sonething big is actually happening.

a good guy and has a good radio voice but my opinion is he's not very good. Listening to a game on the radio and I find myself struggling to clearly picture what is happening. With Hawthorne to me it was like I was watching the game. At least before he got older and almost scenile lol
Blair has a problem being too prepared. He will say things like " a slow roller to Harper". When I don't know who Harper is...how am I supposed to know he is the third baseman for Rice?
