Im honestly cool with either.

So where are we at gyne?
I also think that we will probably want to do FAAB because of amount of players being rostered.

If you go 16 then I am in. If y'all play 14 no hard feelings my way.

So I think we are just waiting to hear from LE. We also haven't heard from BillJ.
Option 1: Le out and Port in
Option 2: LE in and Port out
Option 3. LE in, and league increases to 16 to accommodate Port and BillJ(?)
Also, If we do top 8/bottom 8 (I want), I don't think ESPN will do this.

We will proceed with 14
- No K or DEF seems to be consensus
- FAAB or rolling waiver? I agree, FAAB is way to go. Won't be too much action on the wire in a league this size either way.
- Postion breakdown can go something like
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
TE
FLEX (RB/WR/TE)
FLEX (RB/WR/TE)
9 starting spots
Let's call it 11 bench spots, even 20 man rosters. We could subtract a WR spot, run 3 flexes, something like that. I like the idea of large starting rosters like DT45 mentioned.
Would like some thoughts here.
- Top/Bottom scoring, pretty self explanatory
- Scoring
Main issue will be QB passing TDs - 4 or 6?
1 PPR
1 pt every 10 yds rush
1 pt every 10 yd receiving
1 pt every 25 pass
6 for rushing/rec TD
milestone bonuses? 300 yd pass, 100 rec or rush etc??
return yards? could be a good idea, will open up player pool some, especially w 3 WR and 2 flex
- Bottom feeder penalty? will discourage tanking. in the same breath, im thinking we run a weighted lottery for rookie drafts in following seasons. Dont want a team to tank and automatically win 1st overall pick. Teams that don't make playoffs will be assigned a number of balls. Playoff teams would draft in reverse order of standings after lottery is ran.
- Inaugural slow draft will consist of every player. We will run random draft order thingy, that order will allow whoever is first to chose his draft position, then second will pick their position, and so on. This will take awhile, so while it's a slow draft, we just ask that owners be mindful of time. We can set a modest time limit. We can track in a thread then add to ESPN when they go live.
what else , what else ....

I like this. 14 teams x 20 players = 280 players

Not a fan of Milestones or Return yards, but that is partially because I don't typically have leagues like that.

Meh on the penalty. I like the weighted Lottery idea.

Sounds good. Anyone not normally in a TD league should let the league know google chat ID, etc.

FAAB seems fine to me.
I think I would prefer a 3rd flex instead of 3 wr spots.
I want top/bottom.
I guess I will lean towards 4 pt passing td and to include mile stone bonuses. I am uncertain though and could be swayed.
I would like to hear what other ideas people have about discouraging tanking. Someone else said to use projections after fantasy regular season ends. You are saying penalties and a lottery for the draft. All these options seem to have their particular issues to me, even if necessary. I would just like to hear some more options if anyone has any ideas.
Also, I already mentioned that I think future draft picks should be able to be traded but no more than one year in the future, if anyone has any opinions on that.

That was my 2nd thought, either would work. The challenge of finding a viable 3rd WR is appealing to me.

not sure what this means

Both arent necessary, but there will be some BAD teams in this league. Once they are out of contention and getting their arse kicked, we dont want them not setting their lineup (will be monitored and not allowed regardless) or starting questionable players to get a better draft spot. I think a lottery is a good idea, with maybe the worst team paying a penalty.

So you're going with ESPN. Going to have to keep track of traded picks in the league thread

I'm good will everything cept return yards. I'd vote no milestones but won't throw a fit if y'all want that.
And just want everyone to know, slow draft doesn't mean sloooooow draft. This is probably gonna take awhile. Please be courteous.

Return yards should be included to make more players relevant jimo

This is what pisses me off. It happens in other leagues I'm in on TD. This is unacceptable to me. Play to win the game. If you get caught not setting your lineup you get one warning. Second time, you're out. That's how I feel.

I agree. usually id be against it

I'm not exactly sure what he meant or how it would work. I guess you could look at the projected weekly point totals for the rest of the season and use it to project out wins and losses to determine draft order for those who have been eliminated so that tanking wouldn't actually help. I'm not sure if this actually works. It might be too convoluted.

I understand and agree that some sort of mechanism will be necessary to discourage tanking. I just don't particularly like these two options. Of the two I would prefer the lottery. I don't like the kind of added chance that it introduces. It is probably just be a necessary evil though. I just wanted to see if anyone would have any better ideas. I don't.

Don't know about yahoo. I like Fantrax because it's clear on who owns what pick. But if we're only doing a year out on trading picks, it won't be a big deal.
IR? Two per team? Once they get off IR, must be moved from team's IR in a prompt manner or draft picks to be docked? Let's not have a FSBDL sitch

You can go in and manually adjust the matchups for the week the next day, Tom

You can do it the same day (Monday Night). We couldn't use it for TDFL because it tops out at 20 teams and we had 24. We used ESPN for the regulars just fine.

I figured ESPN or Yahoo would be easier for those not familiar w fantrax. Dont think we want to go through the "growing pains" of walking people through Fantrax plus you gotta pay.
like you said, tracking wont be hard.

two sounds good. ESPN wont allow roster moves with an ineligible guy on IR, so that's good
