two sounds good. ESPN wont allow roster moves with an ineligible guy on IR, so that's good

But you can still hold and wait. Guy comes off PUP in week 7, keep him on my IR for that week, see how he does and figure out on who to drop later.

No, no. Let's make it clear you get docked a first rounder (or whatever penalty) for shite like that.

We use ESPN for TDBA, Rw3R and we have no issues keeping track of picks.

What kind of time limit do you put on something like that? Seems like something that could honestly accidentally get past someone even if you are an active owner.

Once the player is activated you choose to put him on your active roster or drop him in the same week. Not the week after.

FAAB or rolling waiver?

FAAB
quote:

- Postion breakdown can go something like

QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
TE
FLEX (RB/WR/TE)
FLEX (RB/WR/TE)

9 starting spots
Let's call it 11 bench spots, even 20 man rosters. We could subtract a WR spot, run 3 flexes, something like that. I like the idea of large starting rosters like DT45 mentioned.

I am fine with 3 WR or 3 FLEX

quote:

- Top/Bottom scoring, pretty self explanatory

GOOD

quote:

QB passing TDs - 4 or 6?

I vote 6

quote:

milestone bonuses? 300 yd pass, 100 rec or rush etc??

I vote no. I have a league that does this, and its far too arbitrary. I see no reason so bonus someone for 101 yds but not 99 yds.

quote:

return yards? could be a good idea

agree if we go with 3WR

quote:

- Bottom feeder penalty?

I like the idea of using lottery for teams who don't make the playoffs. I'd be fine with a last place penalty.

Can we set up the league and set up polls? Might make things easier

Yeah, it's pretty haphazard discussing it like this in the thread. There's no real way to measure a consensus. Need a series of polls to see where things stand.

I agree with with everything he said other than the 6-points for passing TDs. But nothing is a dealbreaker for me

Remind me how it works in football? Do they wait up to the second before gametume to take a player off IR, or is it done midweek?

I think you give a team a 36-hour grace period to make the correct roster adjustments once a player is lifted from IR

That's me being nice about it.

Correct

quote:

FAAB or rolling waiver? I agree, FAAB is way to go. Won't be too much action on the wire in a league this size either way.

FAAB (can be traded and used an asset, yes?)

I can't seem to highlight and copy rosters, but that's fine, looks good.

Mmm hmm

quote:

- Bottom feeder penalty? will discourage tanking. in the same breath, im thinking we run a weighted lottery for rookie drafts in following seasons. Dont want a team to tank and automatically win 1st overall pick. Teams that don't make playoffs will be assigned a number of balls. Playoff teams would draft in reverse order of standings after lottery is ran.

Bottom feeder I'm for. Lottery as well is fine.

Rookie drafts. Two or four rounds?

4 im thinking

owner has the option to either drop 4,3,2, or 1 players from their roster and assume that number of draft sports for rookie draft imo

The benefit of placing a player on Reserve/PUP is that the player won't count against the 53-man roster limit. Teams have a six-week window (day after Week 6 to day after Week 11) during which the player can return to practice. If the player is not ready by then, the player either has to be released or moved to season-ending IR. Once a player returns to practice, teams have an extra three-week window before they have to activate the player to the 53-man roster (or release or IR him).
