A perfect example of over-dramatization by the media

Flight from NYC diverted due to laptop fire
1. Read the headline and first paragraph.
2. Compare those to the third paragraph.
Smoke came from a passenger's back. The flight attendant handled it. Flight diverted to Grand Rapides as a safety precaution.
There was no explosion, there was no fire yet that's how they lead off on even a simple story.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A JetBlue flight from New York to San Francisco landed in Michigan after a lithium battery in a passenger's laptop apparently exploded and started a fire.
No injuries were reported and the plane landed safely about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids.
JetBlue said that flight 915 from John F. Kennedy Airport was diverted "following reports of smoke emitting from a carry-on bag holding an electronic device."
Passenger Kat Honniball said, ""I was stunned. I knew something was going to happen because you know, lithium batteries catching on fire when you're up at 38,000 feet, you can't help but think you gotta do something, so I was prepared for it."
He added people aboard were "absolutely calm" as flight attendants responded.
Firefighters responded at the airport as a precaution, but the airport says the fire was out by the time the plane landed. Airport spokeswoman Tara Hernandez says the plane took off about 8:50 p.m. and continued the flight to San Francisco.

Russians clearly hacked the laptop and started the fire as cover for Trump's illegal actions. 
I don't believe you. Pics of wife must be provided for proof.

Headlines sell papers. Always have. Its the content or lack there of and the general media monopoly that bother me most these days not the money grabbing headlines.

I knew there was exaggeration, but to claim an explosion? That goes beyond sloppy and into outright false.
I've screencapped the story being on Drudge, will send it to her once she wakes up (she didn't get to her hotel in San Fran until 7ish Central Time this morning).

CNN's breaking news headline yesterday that Trump is withdrawn and has gained weight recently is another example of "really? I mean really?" headlines.
