Confront him about it and maybe invite him to our church service Sunday?
Might as well. After work go up to him and say "Hey ________. I saw what you were doing at lunch. You need help my friend and I want to help you. This Sunday you can meet me and my family at our church service and we will pray about it".
He is going to be like "Really? Aww geez. What a guy. Sure. See you there my friend, I can't wait".
That sounds like a script for an after school special.

While in the parking garage, I notice a younger gentleman sitting in his car sipping on a beer. Noticed he drank at least two for the short time I was out there.
If you feel like you MUST get involved, go leave a note on his car TODAY.
"I saw you drinking 2 beers in your car for lunch today. Don't ever do this again AND I will be watching you. Next time, I go to HR"

frick you. I'd knock on his window with two ramblers and say, 'Game on.'

Hey, sketchball, what the frick was so important you had to go to your car to talk about?

They have parking garages at burger king?

so if you saw him in a restaurant, would you feel the same about it?
That is a totally different situation.
If your co-worker is drinking on the job, you should take action. Use common sense to decide whether you report him or have a private conversation. Are people's livelihoods or personal safety in his hands?
If you are medical professionals, you are legally required report it.
Either confront him ASAP, or live with the guilt that you didn't.

Not debating but I drink sprite zero at work and I get stopped all the time by people thinking it's a BL

Confront him and tell him he is in the wrong!!!
You don't drink beer it's easy to smell on the breath, tell him to switch to vodka.

Why? Do you think he's going to bring enough for everyone? Obviously he hides to drink because he doesn't feel like having to share.
There are several things you could do. Some have been mentioned previously, but I think there is really only one right answer. Mind your own fricking business!

Could his possible intoxication endanger someone (i.e. engineer responsible for design drawings) or put your company in a very bad spot?
If you come here to post about it, it's not something you are writing off. Does your company have an anonymous reporting system to try and get the guy help?

Sounds like death was a sweet release for that guy.

How do you know it was a beer? A can of diet coke looks a lot like a coors light?
And how did you know there were multiple cans? You'd have to be right next to his car to notice and in that case I'm sure he'd wonder why you were staring into his windows.

Why does someone need help for having a couple of beers at lunch?
It is common in Europe for people to drink a few pints or a glass or two of wine.
Unlikely that the guy is getting hammered at lunch off of two beers.
If the company has a policy against drinking then he shouldn't be doing it. If his job doesn't involve endangering anyone then just leave it alone.

How is what he does on his lunch break your business? Unless it is affecting his job performance, keep it to yourself. Why are you so worried about other people, anyway?

Another angle....is this guys job on the same level as yours...you know if a promotion comes up, is it between you 2 dipshit who gets it?
If it's anywhere near that, you should keep your shite hole shut

guy should come to work where I work, the CEO has at least three DUIs, they'd probably start him in upper management
