Jet ski sucked up tow line...

Was out knee boarding on false river and my jet ski sucked up the tow line into the intake grate. We flipped it to see how deep it got sucked in and it's thoroughly wrapped around the impeller shaft. Anyone ever had to fix this problem before and have any advice for what I should do next?

A couple years ago at the beach.
We pulled the cover and cut the rops in lots of places. It took a good hour of work but we got it done. It was a pain in the arse.

Yeah I was able to fix it out in the water three of my buddies helped me lift the rear of the ski and tie it to the anchor clear on the bow of our boat. With the impeller out of the water we were able to cut/pull/unwrap the line off the impeller

Quickest way is to heat up a big knife with a torch or a fire and get to work. It's easier to melt the rope with the hot knife than cut it. Taking off the intake grate will give better access. May have messed up the wear ring if any of the rope made it past the impeller.
