This board mentions Walker, Furniss, Nola frequently. But on this glorious off-day, let's remember the other guys that made it fun to watch LSU baseball.
Who remembers Leon Landry making a highlight play in center on the regular? With a swollen eye at times. Ha
Who remembers Cotton seemingly unhittable by left handed batters?
Who remembers Micah Gibbs, the switch hitting "defensive" catcher that always seemed clutch?
Who Were y'all favorites??

Just off the top of my head,
Jared Mitchell
Dreadlocks of Doom
And pretty much anyone hitting in the gorilla ball era!

Nobody ever mentions Ryan Patterson or Brandon Larson.
Go back and look at the stats they put up

Blake Dean and Matt Clark will always be two of my favorite Tigers!
I also loved watching the ball fly off of Schimpf's bat back in the day!

Neon Leon wasn't much for offense but he was definitely fun to watch on defense. Jared Mitchell was one of my favorite players in his time. Early in the 2009 season when he would single or walk and turn it into a de facto triple or the season prior when he damn near ran over everyone in front of him on dean's hit against unc. Good times.

Brad Hawpe and Mike Fontenot off the top of my head as well.

I played co-rec softball at LSU with Mike's sister. She was a beast at the hot corner.

What about Eddie Yarnell?? Everyone remembers Morris from the '96 team. But EY had a year as good as any pitcher.
11-1 2.38 era. 156 SO in 124 innings. And a ring.
That year rivals anything Lange, Nola, Gausman ever did.

Agree with the people you mentioned. They were great. But you keep saying "who remembers" like it was a long time ago. Those guys were within the past 10 years or so lol
