Christians could learn tolerance by reading the New Testament and actually following Jesus' message

In your mind, what would this entail?

Please don't take single lines of the Bible, twist them to fit your narrative.

Exactly. Which is what makes the point rather odd. What about Islam uniquely encaptures hospitality or tolerance that Christians might want to turn to it to help them learn better?

Please summarize in as few words as possible for those, like myself, he are always interested in what Jesus has to teach as seen thru the eyes of others.

Matthew 10:34
quote:

Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Matthew 24:6-7
quote:

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

Romans 13:4
quote:

For he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

Jesus also cited the Old Testament, so it's fair game as well.

Numbers 10:9
quote:

And when you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the Lord your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.
