Shocker: Trump fails on another promise. Carrier layoffs begin in july

Member when you guys were MAGA-ing about this?
quote:
Carrier, the company President Trump pledged to keep on American soil, informed the state of Indiana this week that it will soon begin cutting 632 workers from an Indianapolis factory. The manufacturing jobs will move to Monterrey, Mexico, where the minimum wage is $3.90 per day.?
That was never supposed to happen, according to Trump's campaign promises. He told Indiana residents at a rally last year there was a "100 percent chance” he would save the jobs at the heating and air-conditioning manufacturer.

Congrats on celebrating Americans losing their jobs, a want. We know this makes you happy

Shocker that you would post a hit piece that glosses over the main facts.
Carrier was closing that factory. Now there are still around 700 people who will keep their job.

Did he or did he not promise he would save those jobs? That IS the main fact.

You want people to lose their jobs because you are mentally unhinged over a presidential election. You have no room to insult me or anyone else.

You are one seriously despicable person. Anyone that carrier lays off is more than offset by the number of jobs Trump has brought in.

No. I knew they were losing their jobs because they only have to pay Mexican workers $4/ hour.
You guys celebrated when this announcement was made. People like me pointed out the simple economic issue at play here. You can't save jobs by force of will.
And when asked how Trump would do it, trumpkins' response was something like "MAGA" or "melt" as if the only reason Obama or Bush or other presidents hadn't saved jobs in the past is because they simply didn't care or want to.

Truth. It's just crazy to me how a want and people like him are so upset about something like a presidential election that barely affects their day to day lives to the point where they wish evil and unemployment on other Americans. Wtf is wrong with these people.

The left had become completely confident that they were just going to continue to roll after Obama was elected.
Some of them like a want behaved decently because they viewed conservatives as nothing more than an annoyance
But. Along the way, conservatives started winning politically everywhere but the WH and the left became agitated
Then. Trump. And they've reacted exactly as you'd expect a bunch of people who view America as their personal bank accounts.

Ah, you left out this piece that confirms that the cuts were expected at the time of the campaign announcements:
Only you and your ilk celebrate the loss of American jobs to Mexico you POS. The piece from WaPo, which effectively serves as your bible, meanders all over the place trying to hook this to Trump and paint it as a Trump failure, but contradicts itself with quotes from Carrier and the State confirming that the layoffs were expected.
Try harder. Loser.
quote:
Holly Gillham, a spokesman for the Indiana Economic Development Corp., which was formerly led by Vice President Pence, said Monday's notice of jobs cuts was consistent with Carrier’s arrangement with the state and Trump. “As announced in December, Carrier is fully committed to retaining more than 1,000 jobs in Indiana over the next 10 years,” she said in an email.
“By choosing to maintain these Hoosier jobs, Carrier is showing confidence in Indiana’s skilled manufacturing workforce.”

Do you write for wapo? Literally every article you post is from them

Do he or did he not promise "100 percent" to save those jobs?
You guys move the goalpost so often you forget where you moved it to.

I'm trying to be objective here but I clearly remember the left pissing in our celebratory grape nuts bc trump / pence didn't save ALL the jobs.
This is misleading news if the WP is now presenting this as an unexpected loss

You are truly a dumbass. This was always part of the deal. They were always cutting jobs, but they're keeping the indy plant open and keepig 800 jobs there (they were originally shutting down completely). This is a campaign promise kept and more WaPo FAKE NEWS. You are not a smart person.
