Luckily, they have civil service protection.

And the mayor is doing a fantastic job of ensuring the state laws granting that civil service protection will not be changed anytime soon. Those laws were put in place for situations just like this...to protect officers from political retribution for doing their jobs

Like I said. She'll gladly violate those laws and pay a handsome sum of "free money" to get what she wants. Laws mean nothing to these people as evidenced in her statement in the article.

Live your whole entire life in the BR area, then become an officer to serve BR, then get out in a terrible situation and do the right thing which forces you to take a mans life

And then after all that, your racist mayor tries to ruin your life and force you out of your home. frick Broome. She should rot in hell
