Government entitlements are passed off as being compassionate while at the same time, whether by design or circumstance, serves to control a large portion of the population and ensures a nice voting block for the Dims.

A ringing endorsement of the Democratic platform. At least you can admit the corruption that you espouse.

It more like "We already give you stuff but if you don't re-elect us then the other guys will take your stuff and you will starve to death because you can't make it without us"

It's how I get my dog to rollover, show him a treat, give him the hand sign and that suckers rolling. No treat and he aint rolling. Reduce government entitlements and the Dims lose a huge portion of their voters.

If you give them just enough to not have to provide for themselves it can be.
I didn't get a job in highschool until my parents stopped giving me 20 bucks a week. It sucked at first but life became much better having 100 a week to play with. And I felt much less inclined to brown nose to get my handout.
Yes I know some people actually need assistance to survive, but there are many that don't and just accept it and are perfectly content because it's all they've ever known.

Then you don't understand reality. Once they get their free stuff, they can never vote for another party out of fear of losing their freebies. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

It is not control like a chain would be. But if you don't support the idea that wholesale 'free money' for anyone who is willing to live off the govt teat does not secure a huge voting bloc for the DEMs while saddling the rest of society (where most of the GOP reside) with huge costs = not only for the 'free money' but also for the cost of dealing with the crime exacerbated by a growing group with no self responsibility = then you are lying to yourself.
You know it and everyone knows you know it. The wholesale magnet of 'free money' saps the soul of vulnerable people - all for the sake of easy DEM dominance of those so entrapped. The DEMs have created their own plantation where they harvest votes instead of cotton. It is despicable what they have done to the vulnerable in this country.
IF people on welfare were not allowed to vote, you would see DEM 'sympathy' for them to vanish overnight - you know that.
