The entirety of my response was in the context of the Middle East. The goal being to bring the fun parts of the west to them and chip away at the Islamist movement(s) with some good ole soft power.

In the West? I mean, there's a bunch of em getting an education and doing research that provides innovation in technology and the sciences. If they add something, that's not a bad purpose. It's pretty much the same idea for any immigrant group.

What is your solution? Genocide? Forced relocation. The Algerian French example shows that these people aren't wanted in their original countries and aren't wanted in France. It will be incredibly costly, and will create massive problems in the interim, and almost ensure that Islamism will survive long term.
