Where would you recommend eating in Ketchikan? We walked what felt like not even a tenth of a mile and the town seemed to end. There was just nothing there to see and I don't recall seeing more than a small little cafe type place to eat. Is there somewhere secret?

The Alaskan Fish House and Annabelle's. Pretty pricey places, but the rest of Ketchikan shopping wise is relatively cheap in comparison to Juneau and Skagway.

i think my wife and i just went to some local bar in ketchikan and the bartender was running for mayor or something random like that. its a small town, and really the only thing to do is wander around for an hour or 2. there are excursions offered but i dont think anything noteworthy. you might be better off just staying onboard an taking advantage of a less crowded ship.

We did not go out of our way to explore the fine dining scene in Ketchikan if there is such a thing, but the Cape Fox Lodge has a nice restaurant overlooking the town and the harbor. This is the hotel on top of the hill. It is a short and scenic stroll from the cruise ship.
