If it's not affecting the dog's breathing it will be fine once the benedryll kicks in. I'd make sure you gave it the proper dosage and then monitor it. If the swelling proceeds to increase then you need to take it to the vet immediately.

Oh he lived a little, his eyes were always glazed over and his pupils were so big he looked like Ren in the trank dart episode.

Happened to my mastiff. But she collapsed to the ground. Thought she was dead. By time we got her to vet she woke up. No clue what happened. Then a few hours after we got back her face was huge. Allergic to wasp. I wish I could find some of her old pictures

Update for anyone interested: Benadryl kicked in, swelling went down and back to normal. She's breathing fine, eating/drinking, and acting normal. Thanks for the help and suggestions to all

Proably a reaction to a bite or sting. Benydryl should help. Make sure no breathing problems. If it doesnt resolve in a couple of days take pup to vet. Good luck.

Give one Benadryl per every 15 lbs.
If not any better by tomorrow, go see your veterinarian first thing in the morning.

Watched mine swallow a wasp. His head awoke up like Mike Tyson hit him. I gave him a big dose of Benadryl and you could see the swelling going down. He snored like a government mule that afternoon.

We had a bluetick that got bit by a snake in the neck, it swelled up like a grapefruit.
She was fine after about a week
