Can we have an honest discussion about the facts of slavery?

Slavery in general goes back as far as documented history involving every major culture and every race/gender/etc. Muslims held millions of white Europeans as well as African slaves for centuries as an example. Europeans first started to enslave other white Europeans until their neighboring countries became too powerful to exploit each other for slaves. Slave comes from the word Slav or Slavic, an eastern European group of people. When they could no longer easily enslave other Europeans they turned their attention to Africa.

As it pertains to the Atlantic slave trade:

- Slavery was taking place in Africa long before Europeans started buying slaves. More slaves were held in Africa than were sent elsewhere.
- The Portuguese, British, French, and Spanish started the atlantic slave trade
- The overwhelming majority of African slaves were captured and sold by other Africans as a result of lost wars and tribal conflicts
- Europeans bought the slaves from the coast and rarely went into the interior of Africa to capture slaves themselves
- About 12 million people were sold as slaves destined for North/South America
- Only ~3% (~500,000) of slaves were brought to what we now consider the United States. The largest percentage of slaves went to Brazil
- In contrast to 112 million slaves taken from Africa to the middle east, most of whom were castrated or the women taken as sex slaves
- Educated religious whites from Britain, Portugal, and America started the movement to end slavery not only in their countries but around the world

Given these indisputable facts. Can someone explain to me how a white male currently living in the United States is in anyway remotely responsible for a practice as old as humans that ended almost 200 years ago and that this justifies some sort of reparations or apology.

No. It is quite impossible to have an honest discussion about slavery. It is too emotionally and politically charged.

LOL. Nothing is indisputable to libtards. Hell, there was a thread on here earlier with one basically disputing math.

That's absurd. No one currently living in the United States is or was a slave. And it is almost a certainty that everyone posting in this thread is related to a slave if you go back far enough in history.

If I could change anything in American history it would be abolishing slavery at the time of the American Revolution.

We would still have plenty of black people in the US but the large, poor, urban underclass would not be here.

Real talk: none of the black people here would likely be alive bc they would have died in genocide or from lack of clean drinking water in Africa without the existence of slavery.

When you say Europeans you should say more specifically Jewish bankers and businessmen.

I didn't discount anything. I just cited facts.
I'm just curious why there is no hate for the Portuguese, the English, the French, and the Spanish? Just white males currently living in a free egalitarian society. Seems like people just ignore these facts to support a different narrative

The federal government was created with slavery being allowed. Slavery is admitted by all to be an unfair practice and a wrong. The federal government survives to this day. Reparations should be made to people who have been wronged. The best way would be to deed western federal lands to present day AA. Some western states are comprised of 90% federal land. It would get the land back in commerce and out of the clutches of bloated federal govt.

Because they have nothing to do with the aftermath of slavery in America. Why can't you all understand that?

I welcome the downvotes. I just hope these people speak up. Explain your point of view. I'm genuinely curious
