Everything has potential be abused. However I don't see a problem with people asking for help when unexpected tragedies occur. No one is required to give unless they choose to do so.

GoFundMe, or I'm just too lazy to do anything about my situation.

I wonder how people got by before GoFundMe was created. It's just a gimmie, gimmie, gimmie world. Look what I have been through, now give me money.

Adversity sucks but depending on weak minded individuals for money is for scumbags. And the people who donate need to realize they're part of the problem for enabling this kind of behavior.
