The day you became a City fan....

Still just one of the craziest moments I've ever seen as a sports fan.

I had been pretty into soccer for awhile at this point, in fact my first trip to Newcastle was a few weeks before this game when City came to Tyneside...but that day really took my interest to another level. Probably the most bonkers thing I've ever seen in sports. Truly incredible and a perfect example of why we love soccer.

We stayed up!
This year we lost 7 of our last 8 in the Championship to avoid relegation to League 1 by 2 points.

They're doing an hour on it right now on NBC Sports.

I just watched the full extended highlights from that match. Weirdly emotional.
I had forgotten how excited QPR were too, having avoided relegation. You had Onuoha and Wright-Phillips openly celebrating with their former teammates. Cisse and Nasri hugging and practically making out.
What a day!

For me, over the last 5 years, I think that moment has surpassed Warren Morris' homerun as the most exciting moment in sports for one of "my" teams. I know that's sacrilege around these parts, but watching the special on NBCSN cemented it.
