I don't like Duvics b/c of the Smokey arse smell and it's dark. But it just got Best Dive Bar of BR.
Ivars is alot different than you remember it. New bar/taps for draft system/seating/patio out back. New owners. No smoking inside.
ZeeZees(now the Merchant) got a 100% overhaul and you won't recognize it(good thing IMO).

This is true. It was downhill for last 3 years Pat owned it. Since the ownership change/renovations/drink price decrease it's become a very decent bar for happy hours, bar suppers, etc.

Both have been renovated within the past 5 years. They're a lot nicer now.

For your sake and for the sake of all residents in Louisiana. Stay in DC. You bitch and whine about everything anytime someone says something about BR. This dude is looking for advice from people who live and frequent Baton Rouge bars, which you haven't been to in 10 years, and you come in and start shitting on all of them for no real reason. Go back to your safe space.
