I'm not really as hard on CPM as most of the posters on here. I don't particularly like some of his methods but I do see the difficulty that current coaches face due to MLB taking studs out of the college game early.
If I had to pick any area of concern it's the obvious lack of production against good pitching. I just don't see the confidence that I used to see when our boys are at the plate anymore. Everything else seems acceptable to me.

We need a hitting coach - we started out the season with everybody hitting over 300 - now we might have about three hitting over 300.

The team batting average this season is only .004 lower than last season.
We are averaging slightly MORE runs per game this season than last season.
ETA: I need to correct something in my post: LSU has 5 starters this season hitting over .300. I left off Coomes in my count as a starter yesterday. So we actually have one more starter hitting over .300 than we did last season.

The team last year with the same players struggled through a good portion of the sec games not hitting well at all. People seem to forget that in their Andy Cannizaro is the next coming of Skip Bertman crusade. Andy is a good coach and this team misses him no doubt but the love fest for him is a little overblown.

A guy at work is friends with a lot of previous LSU baseball players, and some of the comments he said they made over Manieri's comment after the South Alabama game were pretty telling. They were all pissed, so I can only imagine what these kids are feeling and thinking right now since their coach pretty much said his team isn't very good publicly.

Typical rantard....be vague and spread rumors and lies that all the Paul haters will naturally latch onto as truth. No accountability.
