So I'm thinking about putting ~$1k into ethereum for the steady growth, ~$1k into litecoin for a little more "risk" and then ~$200 into 2 or 3 high risk currencies.
1) Does the first part sound like an ok idea on my part?
2) if I were to put $200 into the higher risk currencies, which ones should I use?

Try to guess which 4th currency will be added to coinbase. Then, you'll have hit a nice gold mine.
