good post. anyone else think we need a new thread with an updated OP to onboard the new guys? this one hasn't been updated since 2017 lol

I need a refresher thread. Been out since the big pump and dump years back. I sold all my leftover shite like a year ago to pay bills and now i'm triggered as it would be worth so so much

I see, that is pretty annoying. I wouldn't mind throwing a few bucks in here and there but the fees would kill that.

Looks like I last posted in this thread February of 2018.

It’s like I’ve been in hypersleep for 3 years and have awoken on another planet.

I like it here. This planet has more tendies than I ever could have imagined.

You know, that's a good question and I'm not sure what the answer is.

Gemini exchange might have something like that, I would need to check. Gemini was founded by the famous Winklevoss twins that Zuckercuck stole the facebook development from. It's growing quickly and they've recently added an "earn" feature where you can accumulate interest for holding certain coins and tokens on their site. Their list of available coins isn't large though.

Dumb question but: any transfer of assets from coinbase -> coinbase pro is still free right? And the other way around.

I’d switch to Gemini if they had VET.

Have any of you started using Gemini's earn or any others like it? I started to sign up, but after reading the terms they made it sound like there was more risk of losing your crypto due to fraud during borrowing transactions. Any thoughts on this?...

Every time I look at staking or something similar, I alwsys end with the conclusion that simply buying and holding is both easier and better long term.

Ive been using nexo and blockfi to earn interest on my coins. I'm not worried about stuff like fraud etc tho

those sites have mm insurance policies if something goes wrong which would probably be about the same odds as your bank account getting hacked.

Yes, they have insurance to cover a breach of their system, but in the disclosure it made it sound like borrowing transactions were outside of that. It was a little ambiguous.
