What's the best way to heat frozen chicken and sausage jambalaya? I have a one gallon freezer ziploc bag full...

I'd put in a covered pan in the oven. Sprinkle a few tablespoons of water on top and seal tightly. Don't stir.

ETA: since it's frozen in a bag, maybe you could take it out of the plastic, wrap it tightly with foil and seal well. Do add a small bit of water.

I usually re-heat jambalaya in a skillet, stovetop, with a 'lil bit of stock. It's really great if you let the bottom crisp up a little...

Add a touch of moisture, cover tightly and put in a 180 degree oven til warm. We have a warming oven at work and for most things it is the best way to reheat something. I have now started doing this at home if I have time.

I'd let it defrost. They nuke it in a bowl with a wet paper towel over it. Top it with a fried egg...golden.

I've had reheated frozen jambalaya only once. It was nasty.

If it is sealed I would just put the whole bag in a pot of simmering water and let it thaw and reheat.
