Rick he lost the OC he promoted the right guy apparently then hired a top OC post season he then went out and recruited at a high level in a trasitional year which is tough.
I agree and give him credit for keeping the class together. But again, we already knew he was an elite recruiter and he had relationships with all those recruits.

Maybe he hasn't hit every mark possible to have undoubtably improved at the highest level but in all the ways he's had a chance to he has.
Thats reasonable. But all the things he did have nothing to do with the area he has been questioned. he has always been a great recruiter. He has always been a master motivator. But we have yet to see if he is better at running a program or being a better game day coach.
We've just had a great recruiter and great motivator that had average at best game day coaching.

Don't you remember the CPM vs Miles thread a week or so ago?
I do.
I should've thrown an,"IMO" in my initial post.
I can see how some people think there is proof he is better.

That's a fair assessment of O I think the biggest improvement is knowing now to let his coordinators coach their games. He can make situational decisions and be the overseer of the team. This has worked before at a high level see Bobby Bowden and if he can be that kind of coach/recruiter with an emphasis on the dline that'll work. The only problem is coordinators come and go an hell have to stay on too of that.

Cool.i was wrong about contacting Jimbo's agent in 2016.
My bad.
I just figured they may have burnt that bridge after 2015.

Personally Rick I dunno how much success he's gonna have or what his ceiling is and I'm worried about post Canada Arranda a lot. But this is what we have and I'm excited because of our overall staff and Os ability to get kids especially in the trenches. I dunno if LSU will ever be exactly what we want it to be or what we used to be until King and Alleva are gone, I truly believe that. I'm optimistic for now and the change in philosophy is refreshing so I'll worry about down the road after we see what this mix looks like.

Going to a p5 program.
But youre right about it happening with coaches going from mid majors to p5 programs.
I didnt think about that.

None of that says agents or employed CFB head coaches publicly stating they want to leave.
I admit it gets out but you dont have agents releasing statements or PUBLICLY stating they want to leave.
Maryland CONTACTED those agents. Those agents didnt publicly state their client is looking for an offer and then Maryland contacted them.
Which is what i said. At no point did i say it doesnt get out that employed head coaches are listening to offers.

You keep moving the goalpost. I posted a link twice and you just can't admit you were wrong. You say " oh yea mid-major to p5 it happens" when previously you said it doesn't happen. Haha dude you've been owned. Now it has to be Head coaches. DJ Durkin was interviewed while he was still coaching but he wasn't a head coach so it doesn't count

I admitted you were right about mod major coaches letting it known they are open for a move to a p5 program.
Show me Dan Mullin's agent public stated that he wanted to leave.
Contacting an agent and setting up an interview isnt publicly stating they want to leave.

I just posted a link showing the Toledo coach saying he's interviewing but oh no it has to be P5 to P5.

So if you go interview for a new job tom while currently employed that's not evident that you are considering leaving? what world do you live in besides the land of denial?

How many times do i have to say you were right about that?
Ive posted you were right 3 times now.
Do you lose discussions so much that someone has to say you're right 4 times?
Mid major coaches let be publicly known that they are willing to go to a p5 program.
You were right.
You were right.
I was wrong and didnt think about that.
