Ecstatic about lattimore, but if bb wanted 103 + pj Williams... Would you?

I would.

I would vomit if the Pats traded Butler for that.

Purely say that because it guarantees a 3rd round pick and 2 years early. Pj Williams is also a very good talent who was derailed by freak injuries last year. In the 1.5 games, he shut down his side well

In his presser last night Sean said they are still open for a trade for a veteran CB.

If I were to guess I think they will pick up another CB and at some point this weekend

Anyone who says we shouldn't explore the Butler trade has a short memory. I don't ever want to see a Crawley/Harris combo again as long as I live.

I say make the second round pick and immediately call the Pats. Offer them our third for Butler. Butler and Breaux start, put Lattimore at nickle. Williams and Moore can battle for dime and Crawley/Harris can battle for a job at Wal Mart!

Yeah I'd take that trade.

But I do think getting Lattimore was a potential scenario that the Saints waited for instead of rushing and caving on a bad deal.

I don't think Butler is fully off the table, but at this point we are only going to offer what we are comfortable with once that pick comes on the clock (or not offer if we ike the player/s available).

Honestly Lattimore falling was extremely unexpected. I still have concerns with health and how he translates to the nfl (though he's the one guy I'm pretty high on being able to play at a high level).

I think we use 42 unless worst case scenario plays out, and then wait to see in the third and take it from there.

Absolutely not. That means we would be giving up a solid, young player and a draft pick along with the ridiculous amount of money required to pay him.

I think at this point it should only be our 3rd pick and nothing else.

we hold all the cards right now, NE loses him for nothing next year so they have incentive to lock in some sort of return on him, they have no value invested in getting him at this point so a 3rd is a good deal for them

They'd use the franchise tag most likely
