It's gonna be all the insiders they bring in for small segments. Former athletes and whatnot

Stephen A, Bomani Jones, and Jemele Hill will still be there the day they cut the lights off at ESPN. Not that they deserve to be there, just that they can't be fired according to the Disney/ESPN unspoken mission statement

It seems like ESPN was just bloated on-air reporters who were getting paid way to much for the little bit of screen time they had.

No way they fire the two anchoring the 6pm sports center even if the more sports board hates them. Now Bomani Jones is another story, he doesn't really bring much to the table.

If I was cutting expenses the first place I would start is all of the former player analysts that periodically pop in for four days a month. ESPN has them under contract, flies them to Conn, puts them up in their ESPN Hotel on campus and pays them per diem to sit on a set and give their opinion.

People like Antonio Davis, Darren Woodson, etc that are good at their job but refuse to live in Conn and only appear sporadically. The costs to have these guys on the payroll and appear on the network must be astronomical.

Yep. People would watch out of morbid curiosity.

he is paid. I'd imagine it would cost a ton to fire him

hes not at risk of being let go, but I bet hes pissed all the guys he came up with are being let go. He might go full nuclear if Melrose is cut

Are you getting laid off, Jemele?

@jemelehill

No

There was no shot anyway, but damn

ESPN has brought their own failures on themselves with: A) their stupid TV contracts, and B) their insistence at pushing political agendas without realizing that their primary audience doesn't want to hear it

So 3 confirmed names

Ed Werder
Scott Burnside
Jeff Goodman

All 3 guys I like

Good luck ESPN by doubling down and going all in on the African American demographic. Might as well change the name Sports Center while you are at it, sounds too white.
