But not long after he finished his workout Dieter was asked why he could make it in the NFL, and he pointed to his experience at Alabama as a reason.

"Special teams and blocking," he said. "I kind of did that here at Bama. It was more special teams and blocking than getting catches. That's OK with me. Whatever helps the team win.

"I am a great team player," he continued. "You can put me anywhere and I will give my best effort and perform."

Also-Maybin, if he can stay healthy, has a place in today's NFL

the confidence that some of our fans have in our DT and CBs' baffle me

I don't know why we wouldn't go into 2017 with more confidence in the DT's than in years past.

And I'll say again you can't have enough good pass rushers and CB's on the D.

you dont follow the draft much, do you?

I do, in fact. Obviously not as much as you because I didn't put together my own personal mock. It's a lot of work and for that I give you a tiny golf clap for your efforts. But I, much like most of the replies, just don't care for some of your selections. And by some, I mean all.

I don't understand hate for this mock.

I'm warming up to Conley at #11. I'm beginning to think if Saints want Conley or Tre White, we're going to have to get them before #32.

By that I mean, CBs will be available at 32/42 and the draft is deep in that next tier IMO, but I like Conley/White in maybe a 2a tier over King/Awuzie/etc in a 2b tier. It comes down to how the Saints have the CBs scouted.

I'd love Harris at #32 if we go CB at #11. Harris is on top of that very deep tier group IMO. Those two picks address two huge needs with two day 1 contributors IMO.

But, because of the hit-miss nature of that draft, I wouldn't stop there. I'd go DE/CB at #42 and/or #76 also with possible step-outs. A guy like TE Evans is intriguing or if there's a surprise major dropper hovering around #42. Jarrod Davis is another guy that intrigues me that could be avail at #42. I think there will be better options than Wormley at 42.

I like Woods and I've mocked Taylor to Saints multiple times messing around. I think with the 6th and 7th pick you could really go any direction so it's really just if you're trying to grab a high potential project or ST contributor/role player.

The guy likes to refer to himself in the third person. There's a word for people like that.....

Reddick is gonna be a good player. Really hope the Saints have interest and pull the trigger.

I've been back and forth on Barnett, but I think there's a very good chance he'll be gone by our pick anyway.

Do you see Reddick playing a straight LB like a Lavonte David or do you see him like a Vic Beasley?

Reddick would likely start off in sub packages in both a pass rush and cover role. Over time it'll resolve itself where he fits best but I see him playing mostly standing.

I just want some BAMFS on defense, no matter the position.

Just let the first 3 picks be defense, if that happens I'll be happy.

i cant see him being used like Vic Beasley.

The guy he really reminds me of is Jamie Collins. I think he could be a 4-6 sack guy per year with good ball skills & turnover potential.

I agree. The Conley news really solidifies Reddick for me.

Reddick doesn't preclude selecting a DE with another pick. Barnett/Taco would make another DE unlikely. Reddick and adding a DE at 32/42 could nab 2 good rush threat starters.
