frick off. We've got a liberal dipshit governor in La whose parole board is setting free a murderer who may actually be a serial killer after only 17 years in prison. Had he been executed, the citizens of this state would not have to be concerned that that piece of shite is returning to society.
Your entire state is fricked, apparently, because there was also a guy who was just exonerated (this month) from a wrongful conviction and death sentence in 2012 because the DA was a crooked frick.
That's the problem with the death penalty. Sure, you can fry a bunch of bad guys. But what happens when an innocent person dies because of gross incompetence? How many innocent lives lost at the hand of the state is the death penalty worth? There have been over 150 cases in which people who were sentenced to die later had their convictions overturned. Absurd.

Just for clarity, are you one of the "the state doesn't have a right to take a life" libertarians or are you one of the "the state can't take a life unless it meets my particular criteria to do so" proggies?
I mean I want to make sure I have you categorized correctly.

Defense attorney was kicked off the case for being drunk during the trial and the judge was fricking the assistant prosecutor. I'm sure these are all things no one would mind if it was our family on trial.

How many innocent people have been put to death since the advent of DNA evidence?
