I wanna go. NIN, QOTSA, Wu Tang, just won me over.

Chicago has quickly turned into the best festival city in the country. Riot Fest, Chicago Open Air, and Lollapalooza all have really stacked and diverse lineups every year.

Now I'm working on cheapest way to figure this out. Haven't been to Chiraq in a while. Cubs also have home games that weekend so that's double reason to go.

The neighborhood festivals have better lineups than most I see posted here... for free or a minimum charge..

In Riot Fest tradition, they have announced these records to be played in their entirety (a couple more to come)... the two bolded are of particular interest to me..
Dinosaur Jr. – You’re Living All Over Me (1987-30th Anniversary)
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Let’s Face It (1997-20th Anniversary)
Built To Spill – Keep It Like A Secret (1999)
Fishbone – Truth and Soul (1988-30th Anniversary)
Bayside – The Walking Wounded (2007-10th Anniversary)
Mayday Parade – A Lesson In Romantics (2007-10th Anniversary)
The Lawrence Arms – Oh, Calcutta! (2006)
that dog. — Retreat From The Sun (1997-20th Anniversary)
TBD – Announcing Soon!

Music scene in chi is phenomenal.... everything to be had.
The shows aren't very intimate like Nola tho.... expected for a city with 2+ million tho.
