Twin Falls, Idaho. Both are staffed in part by refugees resettled locally.

Ring a bell?

That's where one of his plants is located. The 60 minutes piece was a love fest of what he is doing.

But let's look at the fall out there...

LINK

quote:

Prosecutors said one of the boys touched the girl in the laundry facilities of Fawnbrook, a low-income housing complex in Twin Falls, while another boy recorded the assault on a cellphone video camera. One boy pleaded guilty to felony exploitation of a child and misdemeanor battery. A second boy pleaded guilty of aiding and abetting felony lewd conduct and aiding and abetting misdemonear battery. The third boy pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory to the commission of a felony. Read

Now you will never know the extent of what they (14, 10, and 7) did to the 5 year old girl because they sealed the case.

But, what does that have to do with Yogurt. This love fest isn't all lovely. These boys are refugees.

The Idaho Office for Refugees gives out a employer handbook. Here are some interesting things..

quote:

Eritrea Roughly half of Eritreans are Muslims and half are Christians. Eye contact in the first encounter is generally viewed as a sign of disrespect; avoiding eye contact and looking away are considered as virtues equated to reverence.

Assimilation?

quote:

Burmese? Direct eye contact can be another cultural difference, as looking a speaker in the eye can be considered an act of challenge.

quote:

In Muslim society, there is a much greater difference between public and private behavior than in Western societies. In traditional families, it is an invasion of privacy, for example, for a man to ask another man how his wife is; one asks instead how his family in general is, or how his children are.

quote:

REALLY don’t ask an Afghan. In the section on Afghanistan, it says: It is considered a breach of manners among liberal Afghans, and an act requiring revenge among conservatives, for a man to express interest of any sort in another man’s female relatives.

BTW... the yogurt man who is just soooooo kind. Well he makes money from the GOV to hire these people.

quote:

Agency For New Americans Idaho (ANAIdaho) has created a summary of the incentives available to employers looking to hire refugees. On a federal level, many businesses can take advantage of a Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), which offers a tax credit of up to $2,400 per refugee. Additionally, according to ANAIdaho ”the Idaho Department of Labor pays up to 50% of a refugee’s salary up to $5,000 for an agreed upon period of training,” as well as “the full salary for up to 520 hours of supplemental employment for a refugee.”

Isn't he just so sweet?

That's not all...

But I have to put it in a new post... cause it's alot!

quote:

The local refugee resettlement center explains that the refugees themselves receive many thousands of dollars to support their first eight months in Idaho. If flying in from Salt Lake City they will be met at the airport by a refugee resettlement coordinator. The refugees will be taken to an apartment “furnished with both required and additional items” with enough “culturally appropriate” food to last for three days; the next day they are given their first check and driven to the bank. Usually within two days of arriving they will be brought into an office to be given information about the town and how to integrate into the culture, and upon leaving are then “offered a trip around town to do follow-up food shopping.”

Within the first 90 days of their arrival, the refugees’ apartment deposit and first month’s rent will be paid for as well as “a week or two of food — depending on the size of the family.” This totals $1,125 per person, all money used by the Refugee Center and provided by the U.S. Department of State.

After these first thirty days and until they hit a certain income level or eight months have elapsed — whichever comes first — the refugees will be provided a certain amount of money per month: “one person receives $382 monthly, and a family of four receives $782. For one person, the case is closed once he or she earns $637 per month; or $1,303 for a family of four.” This money comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The refugees also become eligible for a matching grant after their first 30 days. This is equivalent to “$200 per adult and $40 per child per month. Refugees are also eligible to receive lump sums of $150 periodically, such as 120 days after arrival.” The refugees are also given assistance maintaining extended employment for up to five years. As Zeze Rwasama, director of the College of Southern Idaho Refugee Center, says: “the Refugee Center helps them try to resolve any issues with those jobs, such as working conditions or conflicts with management.”

Would make a lot more sense to tell this to someone making a business trip there, and tell the Eritreans that eye contact us considered polite in the US.

Funny how the Republican governor of Idaho loves the yogurt man. You conservatives shouldn't get upset. Just think of all the potential mormon converts you have.

I like to think that I'm pretty good at spotting political/cultural trends. For example, along with a few others here, I detected the anti-Establishment mood of the electorate very early on during the last election cycle.

But, one development that I never thought would happen? The fact that Muslims & Islam would become a politically correct group/religion. It's been that way for a long time now, of course, but that's one trend I definitely never saw coming.

That whole piece was a jab at trump. As soon as they used "right-wingers" and the like. That's all it was.

Good dig.

Bc the poem on the Statue of Liberty mandates the US is the world's dumping ground and Idaho is as good a place as any in the US.

Wish I could give you more than one upvote OP.

Good buddy of mine lives in Twin Falls and was calling me basically saying the same thing (while hoping I was watching) on my way home from The Masters.

He was describing to me what was evidently a complete and total white wash by 60 Minutes. He says the locals there, many of them, despise the yogurt guy.

Watched it and immediately knew it was more Pravda for illegals and refugees. Don't even need to google search.

Useful fools watching get more positive reinforcement for their indoctrination.

Thank you for pointing out the threat to our culture and of course the threat to women and children.

It should be concerning for everyone.
For some reason dem-progs refuse to see any problem at all.
Very dangerous!

You left out the part that he has 16 "paid" language interpreters on staff at the Idaho plant. The Bablelonia of the great NW.

if you had watched (here's the transcript

60 Minutes said both he and the mayor had been receiving death threats Imagine that billionaire Muslim businessman in Idaho gets death threats after Breibart ran a hatch job on him? My brother the general contractor says he can't recommend painters, because half of them turn out to drunks or worst who won't stay out of clients medicine cabinets. Imagine how many bad apples you'd hire in a 1000 person work force.

This was the lead to their story: At a time when Americans are debating whether immigration and refugees are a good thing or a bad thing for the country, it is sometimes noted that Tesla, Google, eBay, and Pepsi Cola are all either founded by or currently run by immigrants, and, in one case, a refugee. It’s a reminder that foreigners don’t always take jobs from Americans, sometimes they create them.

They didn't hide the jest of the story. They made it the focal point.

Here's what they said about his hiring:

quote:

Anybody in the community who wanted to work for those years would find a job at Chobani. Anybody, we were hiring. And if they were not working for us, they were working for the contractors that were doing job for us. Because the-- my-- my number one thing is I was gonna hire everyone local before I go outside. Hamdi’s recruiting effort included a stop at a refugee resettlement center in the city of Utica 40 miles away, where he heard they were having trouble finding people work.

I got it you hate Muslims, your buddy as well, I'm not real fond of them myself... but I don't spread lies or false witness against people I don't like... or don't give two shits about.

Where you watching 60 Minutes expecting an unvarnished story, or just to observe their spin?
