Bro, a possum ran out onto the field and we started playing better. That's why it's called a rally possum dumbass. I'm sure if a tiger ran out onto the field and the same thing happened we would call it a rally tiger. The point is that it's a joke and you need to take that stick out of your arse.

Baseball is a funny sport at every level and teams / players will do crazy things in the name of a "rally".
Case in point: 2011 St. Louis Cardinals had their "rally squirrel" and went on to win the World Series in a very dramatic way. Game six was the stuff of legends; at least if you were a Cardinals fan.
Cardinals never stopped being the Cardinals in spite of a squirrel and the Tigers will be the Tigers regardless of a possum.
