If you don't think the coach is responsible for how the team performs, then what exactly is he doing? Why do teams have coaches and pay them a salary if they can't impact how the teams play?

yes, over a season the coach is responsible. but one game? one play? c'mon man, use your head. there are those on here that want to fire any coach after the players have a bad game OR one player makes a mistake. baseball, while a team game, is more an "individual team game" than other sports.

I agree. Completely stupid. Thanks goodness he's not LSU's coach.

The monkey's school has won 12 out of the last 13 series against Van Horn's school. And Mainieri has beaten Van Horn six straight series.

Wait all night you moron. Baseball Mgrs. don't hit, don't pitch, don't run, they stand there and, like you said, look constipated. So when the team wins, the Mgr. wins. You ever play baseball, Red...don't think so.

And he also deserves criticism, especially when you flirt with Texas in the offseason because you don't feel appreciated.

If he wasn't so quick yanking pitchers and let Walker go one more inning last weekend he would have won the A&M series as well.

PM must read the rant

“Those are the decisions I get paid to make,” Mainieri said. “You make enough right ones, you get to coach a team for a while. If you don’t, they look for somebody else. You figure out who you believe in and you hitch your wagon to those kids and let them go for it.

You're a miserable person. Go read your diplomas.....

yet you find NOTHING to rebut in your response.
Just give up. You can't find make an argument as to why we can't hit other than blame Gibbs.
You can't find a reason why we have such a bad showing in the CWS when we made it these last 7 years or why his winning percentage has crashed in the Supers in that same time frame. Or why there's really only 2 contributors left from the 2014 NUMBER 1 recruiting class outside of him being an arse. Or why he used Texas to get a raise. Or why...
Keep making excuses.

Plus arm not good.
Average to minus arm big league.
Anyone we play if we can out last the plus arms and get to the average to minus arms we win. We will hit plus arms on occasion but not often. Sundays will be good to us most of the time.

Why are you so intent on making yourself look foolish?

Austin Bain, Michael Papierski, Beau Jordon, Bryce Jordan ( knee surgery), Alex Lange, Doug Norman (Tommy John surgery), Greg Diechmann

All of these players from the 2014 recruiting class are contributors or would be if they weren't injured this season.
