Is 5-15mbps enough for xbox one gaming?

Im thinking of getting a cheaper package while getting rid of cable and phone.
If I get the basic package where Im guaranteed 5-15 MBPS, will I have to deal with every day lag? Im willing to spend $20 more a month for higher internet speed, but Im trying to be thrifty nowadays. Ive been reading everywhere online that 5-15 MBPS is enough for what I'm trying to do as far as online gaming and getting my apps to work without lag. Just want some opinions if I can in fact be thrifty with this purchase.
TIA

Ping is whats most important. Millisecond response between you and game server.
With that said, 5-15mbps could be fine.
If you use the same connection, but just downgrade the DL speed, you should be fine.

5 is definitely not enough. 15 maybe. If you use wifi for anything you'll experience some speed loss and probably not be able to function. If you're already dropping cable and phone, and you're only going to be using internet for everything, I'd suggest you get something around 30 at least

Do you plan on having streaming services, like Netflix and Hulu?
Are you single, or will family be also be using it?
Do you typically have just one device using the internet at once, or multiple?

I get from around 12-20 at all times. I use a wireless connection from across the house upstairs. I can play with no lag(as long as no one else is streaming Netflix), watch Netflix with no lag, and use watch espn with no lag. Hope that helps

just to make you more unsure my experience is opposite of what others have said.
I have about 10 at best with ATT.
I have no problem streaming anything.
Downloading games can take hours and hours and hours. I used to play multiplayer all the time but I lag so much its impossible now.
Id say go for more it you want to play multiplayer

I play with <1. Granted it's frustrating but it works. 5 would be fine.
