I was curious why Alabama was so willing to do that while it hasn't really happened here in GA. We're on spring break in the metro (a lot of areas), but it seems like this has happened before (Alabama closing schools while GA doesn't).

Typically I view central/north Alabama up through Rome GA as the hotspot for long track tornadic potential, but it seems like the area of concern is a lot bigger than that today. Timing maybe?
