Why won't they give us a GOT RPG or MMORPG? And not the crappy one on ps3

Imagine this: RPG/MMORPG game set in Westeros/Essos. You start out as a common foot soldier, minor lords second son, bard, etc. You then get to venture across the entire continents doing several main quests, hundreds of side quests, and more. Now the game could go in two directions, both great. One would be the standard RPG like Witcher set across several areas of Westeros. The other would be a MMORPG like Elder Scrolls online but set in Westeros. But you have more decisions like joining the nights watch, adventuring in Essos and beyond, trying to become a lord of an area, become a maester, even become the King. I mean who wouldn't play this game?

It's a mixture of action, RPG, and strategy.
You control a band of soldiers moving around a world map. You can manipulate their stats and your gear and such.
When you run into an opposing army or enemy city you enter a separate battle map. There you control your player character in some third person medieval combat. You can also issue relatively rudimentary commands to your troops.

Warband is a ton of fun, but be warned, it's a massive time sink.

In addition to Warband, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is eventually coming. It sounds like they've just taken Warband and improved on it making it even closer to what you described. Although they are taking their sweet arse time with it so it could either come out this year or just before the heat death of the universe.

OP I have been wondering the exact same thing. Could be an ultimate RPG experience.

It would have to be rated M for mature due to all of the gratuitous sex.

I am on day 295 on one of my characters, so far I have 75 men and lots of enterprises in various cities. So I am kinda stuck being neutral as to not lose my money making.
Just updated to 3.0 on the clash of kings mod, already got wrecked by some bandits and captured.

The transition to owning your own kingdom is the hardest in the game due to the economy problem.

Add in being able to whoremonger all over Westeros so your character can have a whole bunch of bastard children for you to take control of when your main character dies.
But at least we'll get a Shadow of Mordor sequel thats in the works
