I make nearly 3 times what my wife does. I'd love to be flip flopped. Right now she's had someone reach out for a new job where she'd make less. She's no the primary bread winner so she can seriously entertain that offer just because it is a less stressful job even if it does make less. I on the other hand, am a slave to my career. Wouldn't give a shite about the insecurity.

My wife makes more than me by a good bit. Everytime I get sad about it, I just go and spend some of her money and I feel better.

If so, how great of a feeling is that for you?

Yep...we moved to KC a year ago this week due to a promotion for her. I quit my job, and now do photography and help with my 4 year old girl. It was difficult adjusting at first, after working in banking industry for over 15 years, but now it is pretty nice.

I love banging those hidden jewels that work in small town gas stations/smoke shops who are usually late on the rent and at least 2 car payments behind. I prolly will never know this feeling you're talking about.

Checking in.

Wife makes 50-80k to the revenue side.

I make 0k but save roughly 25-40k on the expense side so she still out"earns?" me.

Doesnt bother me at all between us. The problem I have is trying to explain to people how I contribute to reducing the expense side. Do and know-nothings cant wrap their brains around a person never needing to contract for outside services for anything outside standard bills like cellphone and internet.

I fricking wish. I make 4X what she makes. She really should be making double what she does considering what is involved and the headaches.

Yep. My wife's income is more than double mine and I do pretty well. I am very ok with it.

Nope. My wife makes crap. My daughter-in-law doubles my son's salary. Oldest daughter makes more than her husband, he is a cop. All are just fine with it.

My wife makes more than me but it's only because of her last name. Luckily we are comfortable enough now to use a good bit of that money to invest in real estate so neither of us will need a "job" in 5 years.
