So I typically go straight to the gym after a long day at work. I go home and it's 7:30-8:00ish by he time I eat supper. I try to eat light for the most part. But then about an hour later as I watch Tv, I get craving for something sweet.

Does this happen to you guys? And what do you do about it?

Happens sometimes if I ate too light for dinner. I sometimes have a light snack or I go to bed depending on the time.

Pop yellow popcorn and mix it with seasoning.

They have sweet seasonings at the store that don't add calories

It's called a sweet tooth, it has nothing to do with post workout. Nobody cares that you work out bro

Sometimes (like today) I get super super hungry after a workout when I have already eaten. I realize my body is telling me it needs strength to rebuild itself so i should eat something but if I eat shite, it will do no good. So I'll eat something that's extremely high in protein.

You're probably under eating. Have a bigger dinner or eat a healthy snack.

I go the gym so I don't have to ignore those cravings.

However, I normally eat a peanut butter and banana sandwich before the gym, protein shake with dinner after, and that normally does the trick.

The more my workout load increases the hungrier I get.

There is nothing wrong with healthy snacks. Just watch your portion size.

If I'm really trying not to eat something else then I drink a huge glass of water to try and feel full.

Typical response of the body.

Try eating more through the day that way you're not in a deficit after workouts.

Drink whey after the meal, it will give you a "full" feeling more so than caesin, even though caesin takes longer to digest.

If you're lifting weights or doing cardio for more than 30 minutes at night, then your body is going to be burning calories more rapidly till you go to sleep, which is a bad time for your cravings to hit. Maybe the problem is you're just not eating enough at dinner, or it could be what you're eating that's not filling you up (phrasing). Make sure your body gets plenty of protein post workout, leafy green vegetables (couple handfuls of spinach/kale), and water.
I've had the same issues with late night snacking, and what's worked best for me is adding more vegetables and drinking more water, then I'll take a 500mg Niacin capsule about 30 mins before bed and it's made a significant difference.
It also has a lot to do with mind-over-matter, so if your house is loaded up with a bunch of unhealthy snacks, then you're probably going to overindulge.
