The problem there sounds like it isn't the antenna going out/in. If it is older, it probably only works on one network frequency, and that might not be yours.

In Woodville, I never really had too much trouble finding a signal on Verizon. An omni-directional antenna raised high on a pole would work well there since there are towers relatively close for every provider. A new one would work better for you
