The Angels should keep Trout. Trade everyone else worth anything. Stockpile prospects and go for the 3 year rebuild. They really should have started this a year and a half ago.

Yes and yes. You can get a decent return for Calhoun if he keeps hitting this year. Hope Richards pitches well and stays healthy and deal him. If they can afford to, eat money on Pujols deal and see if anyone would deal with even part of that contract

And start drafting/developing better. Clearly what they are doing in the draft process and in the minors is broken. No team should have a system this bad

This is their biggest problem. The FO tried to put a bandaid on a gunshot wound by drafting low ceiling college prospects in the draft, instead of actually drafting good players.

2016-Matt Thaiss||C||Virginia
2015-Taylor Ward||C||Fresno State
2014-Sean Newcomb||LHP||Hartford
2013-No Pick
2012-No Pick
2011-CJ Cron||1B||Utah

Cam Bedrosian(2010) is the last player they drafted in the first round that has done anything at the ML level, and he's a reliever.
