No, you're coming at it from a very naive point of view and moral relativism. Sure, the end result is dead people. The bigger picture is that this is a portion of a religious war set out by Islam to instill terror upon the west. This isn't the result of a dispute or bad feelings between two people who know each other. (as most murders are) Also, Islam is as much a religion as it is a political ideology.
