Frusciante. He's better than Clapton, that's for sure.

He likes Phish and Panic. Don't let him deny it either.

Frusciante seems to be the muse that inspires the band to play their best music. I like their earlier stuff and I enjoy One Hot Minute but the albums w Frusciante are just overall better. Flea really is such an important part of their sound though as well. His funky innovative base lines are what gives the band their sound.
1. Blood Sugar Sex Magic
2. Californication
3. By the way
4. Stadium Arcadium
5. Mothers milk

Just my order w albums frusciante is on. All 5 are Great albums overall imo

Out of Frusciante, Slovak, Navarro, and the young dude Klinghoffer?

It's a no-brainer. Frusciante. Blood Sugar... can never be duplicated. He was on the A plus juice on that album -- albeit before he was considerably cracked out, but the answer is definitely NOT Navarro. WHat a train wreck he was with the sound! I like Slovak and would like to think he would have helped carry the band into the 90's and prominence, but we would never have had a BSSM. And that album is immortalized. Meanwhile, I do not listen to the, anymore. Stadium Arcadium as their finest work, OP? That's extremely putting it out there. BSSM and Mother's Milk are 1 and 2.

-drummer: Ginger Baker

i love BSSM but for some reason i find myself listening to Stadium Arcadium more. Wet Sand, Slow Cheetah, Tell Me Baby are all solid. plus there are 28 songs lol

suck my kiss, under the bridge, i could have lied, and give it away are my favs off BSSM but i guess i've heard them so many times i never go on spotify and search them.

Frusciante.

You can argue Slovak was a "better fit" for what they were doing early on but John brought the heat. He's extremely talented and as creative as they come. He and Flea play off each other so well.
