Wrong, but when you had 45 clock teams actually ran sets and it was different game. The ADD generation can't handle it but it is what it is.
I am glad they put in a clock. Want to watch a snooze fest go research Georgetown SMU in 2nd round NCAA game in 84? Thompson proved he was a prick in that game.

I was on the golf team in HS. The chess team in middle school. And watch 95% of every televised shot in the PGA year. I can handle some slow shite 
Basketball though....can't do it. Intentionally not playing your sport is not a fun strategy to watch. They don't run more sets. They run bullshite until the shot clock gets to 7. If you need 45 seconds to run your set...you need to go the frick home.
