I wouldn't call Western Civilization 'white.' If you go way back it started with Greeks and Romans (you could go farther back to the ancient Hebrews) but they weren't exactly 'white.' I'd call them 'swarthy.'

BTW, I just saw a 1950 movie with Richard Burton playing Alexander the Great. He had blond hair. I don't think Macedonians had blond hair. They did get the clean shaven face correct. The other warriors had beards but Alex shaved.

Ancient Greeks and Romans were white, and I think it's a stretch to label the Ancient Hebrews as part of Western Civilization.

Good on ya. The idea that a culture is dependent on a certain race behind the wheel is to say that race is a pre-determinant of character traits, which is, according to Oxford and Webster, racism.
