What are these green clumps? Fescue? Came out in cooler weather.

not sure, but I see a few clumps of that in my yard this year as well...I think it is kind of cool looking!

Yeah I don't recall ever having any. I took a chance and spot sprayed it with a 1% mix of round up. The bermuda is not exactly dormant.

U gonna have a dead spot in that Bermuda for awhile. Glyphosate a no no this time

In most cases I would agree but bermuda is pretty tolerant of glycophosphate. I only put 1 oz per gallon and didn't wet it much. In fact I'm not sure if I did enough to even kill the grasss, whatever grass it is, I was targeting.
I know we've used roundup and 24D on fence lines, canals, etc and often what killed other grasses would only minimally make the bermuda a little off color but bounce right back. That was at 2 or per gallon.

Looks like a fescue.
Have you overseeded with rye before? Could have came in with that seed.

Yeah, looks like a creeping fescue. Not sure off the top of my head, but I think Image is labeled for killing fescue in southern lawns.

Google images for "annual bluegrass." Looks like what I have. County extension identified for me. Mine have tons of small white seeds in each clump and disappear with warmer weather. Apparently, you have to wait until Fall and apply a pre emergent over several seasons to control, if this is what you have.

Simazine around Thanksgiving will cure that bluegrass (Poa annua)

Granular or liquid? Either one better than the other?

Not sure they make it in a granular. It's cheap as a liquid though.

Not the kind of grass I was hoping for, I'm out
