Lineup for today

I say same as yesterday except maybe try Beau as DH.
When Romero's ankle is fully healthy, I say let him catch on Sundays as he seems to hit better as C versus DH. Coomes should catch midweek when healthy to give him experience

So Papierski should stay behind the dish?

Paps behind the plate, Reid at DH today

The Jordan twins aren't the bet but they certainly aren't the worst we've ever had out there. Yeah they may not have the talent level or potential to make it to the next level but who gives a frick about that when Bryce led the team in pretty much all categories during SEC play. I mean holy fricking shite it's getting ridiculous.

Oh, sweet.... So this isn't a thread showing the lineup like it seems from the title. K, bye

Good to see Chris Reid get a start at DH! No doubt Simth is better at 3rd and the plate. But CR did a good job for us last year.

Of the platoon guys going into last night he was the only one with more than one extra-base hit.

I don't mean to say that they are the worst at all, but we've got guys that are better options than Beau at DH. Therefore, "Let's not put Beau as DH."
Also I don't know why saying something bad about Beau automatically calls in "The Jordan Twins" defenders. They are in fact, different players. I don't now why they keep getting grouped together. I guess because they're twins but it seems odd, especially considering that Bryce can't even play this year, making it strange you'd talk about Bryce Jordan as a defense of Beau.
I wouldn't talk about how great of a pitcher Aaron was if you said Austin wasn't a good SS. They're different people.

I'm assuming the other guys who have seen time at DH, namely Adams, Romero, and Woley. If that's the case, this is wildly false. Adams and Woley both have not only multiple extra base hits, but more than Beau, and with less ABs.
Romero only has one, but is also injured, so seeing as he's not even our best option right now due to injury I don't believe that's a fair comparison.

I agree with not putting beau at DH. I think he's a situational player but he's not garbage. And people defend them together because most of the time posters attack them as a pair. I just think people irrationally despise them. May just be all the catlick high baws that don't like barbe winning all them state titles.

I also think this is silly. They should each be critiqued individually for their pros and cons, and they actually do have different sets of those.

Meh, I don't think many of us hate them for that, of course some of the older CHS grads will find anything to be salty about. I think that's a generational thing though.
Also, this is probably my favorite insult as an alum. Mainly because it doesn't just imply we're all gay cause "haha gay is funny."

I was joking about CHS grads. Didn't even know catlick was supposed to be an insult.

Defensively it's close.
At the plate, Reid hit .337 vs SEC pitching last year. Smith is hitting .283 against weaker non-SEC pitching so far.
Let's see a few more weeks' worth of games.

I know, and it's not really an insult per se, but I've heard it before with emphasis on cat-lick, which implies a few different things if you catch my drift, although I've never been bothered by it.
Then there's just the baws that don't pronounce the h because of their accent, or the accent they're imitating, I guess that's what you were going for.
